A vestibular assessment is a set of tests that check how well your balance system is working. The balance system is found in the inner ear and helps you stay steady and know where you are in space. During the assessment, a healthcare provider may ask questions about your dizziness or balance, watch how your eyes move, and sometimes use special equipment to measure your inner ear and balance function. The goal is to find out if the inner ear is causing balance or dizziness problems and to guide treatment.

Falls Prevention and Balance Retraining

Our physiotherapists will conduct a thorough examination and assessment of your balance systems allowing for the identification of concerns that may be affecting your balance abilities. The outcomes from this assessment, along with the discussion on the goals each client is hoping to achieve, will be the basis for an individualized balance retraining program.
